  • Excellent gaming CPU

Excellent performance. I am a little biased because I was able to get a really good price but this chip blows the i7-6700k I've been using for 5 years away. It may even be overkill considering it's just for gaming. I maybe could have gone with the 5600x but I wanted to future proof a little more. It clocked up to 4850mhz out of the box and it does 5.0 all cores at about 70 degrees C with a Kraken Z73. I have been solidly impressed with the performance so far.

  • Best Value 2021

With Intel bringing fierce competition in the form of their new Alder Lake cpu's, AMD Zen 3 chip prices have been reduced to all time lows. I had my heart set on a 5800x since the day it was announced but never did I expect to see a $450 msrp cpu marked down to sub $320. Thanks to antonline, I am now the proud owner of a blazing fast 8 core ryzen processor. I have only run a few benchmarks so far but the chip is performing as expected, which is to say it completely dominates my previous cpu which was an intel 4790. I am hoping to use this for the next 5 years.

  • Great Purchase

Great CPU performance, solid product as usual from AMD. Maintains advertised boost clocks well. Only qualm is that it runs hot, regardless of the cooler used. Will shoot right up to 80C+ under moderate to heavy loads under water cooling or large air tower. Radiator / heatsink does not get that warm which tells me the heat can't dissipate from the CPU itself / integrated heat spreader fast enough, so not sure any amount of cooling will alleviate that problem. Have tried remounting coolers, but enough people report this despite having excellent cooling that I believe it's inherent to the CPU design.

  • In the words of Forrest Gump "I like it alot."

Great performing CPU, and can boost well past it's advertised spec with a decent cooler. Getting 4975MHz single core performance, with 4750MHz all core. Great for streaming and gaming, multi-threaded workloads, with the occasional video editing. It's a great all around performer, and well worth the upgrade over my R7 2700. I will say, it does get hot, and needs proper cooling to get the most out of this chip.

  • Amazing cpu. Wish i had more thumbs so i can give more than two thumbs up

The cpu was azmazing. Boosted above claimed speed with bpo enabled. Seen 5.0Ghz on multiple cores while gaming. It does run on the warmer side with default voltage. I had to undervolt it for the temps at desktop to be reasonable. Using an Corsair H150i RGB Pro AIO(360mm rad)and Kyronaute thermal paste. Upgraded from a 2700X so i seen massive uplift across the board, no matter if it was single threaded or multi threaded application. Amazing cpu but i got a damaged product from the sell so ill be returning it for a refund, then i will but buying a new cpu from AMD or a 2nd party sell like microcenter or best buy.

  • Ryzen 7 5800x

Just replaced my Ryzen 5 5600X and the performance difference is just awesome. Not so much in games but for video editing, spreadsheets when all cores are used it makes a great difference. Less time waiting for the jobs to be completed.

Cpu has bent pins on two corners. Took me an hour to get them straight and able to plug the cpu into the socket. One plugged in, the cpu did work.

  • It's Ryzen duh

Ryzen processors have always been reliable this one is no different. If you're having trouble installing it or your PC is constantly crashing, try updating your motherboards bios to the latest version and that should sort most things out.

  • Very pleased with this purchase...

Everyone else is scrambling to buy the 5800 X3Ds. But I did a bit of research and discovered that the regular 5800x had a higher base clock speed. That combined with the fact that I got mine for a very low price makes me very happy. This is a very nice upgrade from my 2700x. So while I know the X3D is up to 15% faster in some games. I don't care!

  • WOW sums it up nicely.

Actually 3.8 Ghz not 3.7 and it clocked to 4.9 Ghz out of the box. Amd promised 4.7 so... If I had to do it again I would. This is a very fast very stable processor.
